Yaohong Niu, is an associate professor and master’s supervisor in the School of Journalism and New Media at Xi’an Jiaotong University. He holds a PhD degree in Journalism from University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and a PhD degree in Journalism from Nanjing Normal University. He worked at the Institute of Modern Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences from 2010 to 2015. In the past five years, he has published more than 10 papers in CSSCI journals such as Journalism & Communication, Journalism Research, Sociological Review of China, Press Circles, New Media and Society, and his papers were reprinted in Chinese Social Science Digest. He is in charge of the general project of the National Social Science Foundation, the Humanities and Social Science Project of the Ministry of Education, and the project of China Post-doctoral Foundation. He is also a reviewer of Communication & Society (Hong Kong) and many other authoritative journals in China.
